Product Description: 6063 T5 round tube is a lightweight, medium-strength aluminium alloy with excellent extrudability, corrosion resistance, and a smooth surface finish. Its combination of good thermal conductivity and formability makes it a popular choice for heat exchange applications, including radiator and cooling system builds.
Features:
Material Composition: Primarily aluminium, alloyed with magnesium and silicon. Temper: T5 (Cooled from extrusion and artificially aged). Strength: Medium level, well suited to light structural and thermal transfer applications. Finish: Smooth, clean surface typical of architectural-grade extrusion. Readily accepts anodising. Corrosion Resistance: Excellent resistance to general environmental and atmospheric conditions. Weldability: Welds well using TIG (GTAW) with 4043 or 5356 filler rod. Note that welding will reduce strength in the heat-affected zone. Thermal Conductivity: Good heat transfer properties, ideal for radiator and cooling system use.
